We embrace a weight positive, health and well-being approach

At our core, we understand that weight is just one aspect and not the sole indicator of a person’s health status. Our unique approach offers an integrated coaching experience that focuses on balanced nutrition, mindful and intuitive eating, increased activity, and a positive body image.

Our coaching is guided by the following principles:

  • As weight is not a behaviour, we use alternate goals for behaviour change.
  • Healthy eating and physical activity are important for health, regardless of BMI.
  • Healthy bodies come in different sizes and shapes.
  • It is important to encourage self-esteem, body satisfaction and respect for size diversity.

It’s easy to get started.

We make it simple to get started with a step by step-by-step process. Here’s what to you can expect:

  1. A few questions are asked initially to ensure the service is personalized for individual needs
  2. An assessment of dietary needs is conducted that will allow the dietitian to develop personalized healthy eating plans in collaboration with the client.
  3. Initial one-on-one coaching and consultation are provided by a Registered Dietitian.

12 Weeks Nutrition Coaching services are available both virtually, over the phone, and onsite.

Nutrition services covered by extended benefits

In many cases, provincial health plans do not provide adequate coverage for nutrition services. Employees are looking to their benefits plans to fill the gap in access to nutrition care. Seven out of ten major insurers currently provide dietitian services in their standard plan.
